About Jody

Jody holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and has been in the counselling profession for over a decade. Much of her career has been spent in acute care hospitals and crisis mental health settings, where she has supported individuals through some of life’s most destabilizing experiences—serious illness, sudden loss, psychiatric crises, and major life disruptions.

She has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients across ages, cultures, identities, and spiritual beliefs, experiences that continue to deepen and broaden her understanding of the human experience.

Her work is grounded in trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, and relational approaches. Jody views therapy as a collaborative process rooted in trust, curiosity, and compassion, and takes a holistic approach that honours the connection between emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

In addition to talk therapy, she integrates body-centered and experiential modalities to support deep, lasting healing. She has advanced training in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, clinical hypnosis, and trauma-informed yoga teacher training.

Jody facilitates workshops and groups around grief and loss and self-trust. These engagements are designed to support individuals in navigating change, loss and uncertainty in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Jody is also a passionate advocate for psychedelic-assisted therapy and is trained in Psilocybin Assisted therapy and Ketamine Assisted therapy. She holds a deep respect for the therapeutic potential of expanded states of consciousness.

Outside of her professional work, Jody enjoys spending time in nature and staying active. She can often be found hiking in the mountains, in a yoga studio, or packing for her next travel adventure :)
