Talk it through.
The first 20 minutes are free. You don't need a diagnosis, or a reason that sounds big enough.
If you're in crisis, call or text 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline) or go to your nearest emergency department. P.A.T.H. is not a crisis service.
What low self-esteem can feel like
Low self-esteem can be quiet and constant. You might notice:
- a critical inner voice that rarely lets up
- comparing yourself to others and coming up short
- trouble accepting compliments or asking for what you need
- people pleasing, or staying in situations that don't feel good
- feeling like a fraud, even when things go well
Low self-worth usually has roots, often in early experiences or in how others treated you. It is not the truth about who you are.
How therapy can help
Therapy can help you notice where your beliefs about yourself came from, and test whether they're still true. Many people find they slowly become more confident and better at standing up for themselves.
What working with P.A.T.H. looks like
Your therapist is there to support you, not to judge you.
- Online, from home. Sessions happen by video, so you can talk from a place where you feel comfortable.
- Qualified therapists. Each therapist's professional designation is on their profile.
- The same therapist over time. You work with one therapist who gets to know you, so you don't start over each session.
- A free first conversation. Start with a free 20-minute consultation to see if the fit feels right. There is no commitment.
- Clear pricing. $175 per session ($220 in Alberta). Free 20-minute consultation. Receipts for extended health benefits. Many extended health plans cover psychotherapy or counselling. Check with your plan which credentials it accepts.
If you've had a psychedelic experience
Some people seek support after a psychedelic experience that brought up hard feelings about themselves. Our therapists also offer integration therapy: ordinary psychotherapy to help you make sense of a past experience and what it brought up. Read more about integration therapy after a psychedelic experience.
P.A.T.H. provides psychotherapy only. We do not sell, supply, prescribe, administer, dose or supervise psilocybin or any other psychedelic. Any psychedelic experience is arranged independently by the client and is not part of our service.
